Bring the children to Me

Every Tuesday afternoon Rika and Leonor visits the labour ward at a local hospital. They take care packages for each new born baby and they have the opportunity to prayer for the mother and the new born baby. It is a miracle that they are allowed to even pray in the hospital, because prayer is not allowed in governmental buildings.

Last week Rika met a woman waiting to give birth, she was extremely ill and are living with AIDS. Rika could see that she was afraid that she was not going to live after giving birth to her baby. She was extremely weak and malnourished. The nurses were also worried and afraid that she is not strong enough to give birth to her baby. Rika and Leonor had the opportunity to pray for her and to share the peace that Jesus brings to us. Rika was able to give her a Bible and we pray that she comes to know and experience the love and presence of Jesus in her life.

Rika and Leonor get to pray for woman before they give birth and even after they give birth. Rika also had the opportunity to pray with a woman while the woman was giving birth. They then handed the new born baby to Rika so that she can take the new born baby to be weighed. Please pray for this weekly outreach and for the Mothers and their new born babies.

Luke 18:16: Let the little children come to Me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to these.
