I have a grandmother
We try and have the children visit their family if they have any family at least once a year. We also encourage all family to come and visit them. The grandmother of Luis came to visit him often, but the last few years she did not come and visit him. So last week Leonor and two visitors from YWAM went to see if they could find her. They travelled to the area where we believed she lived and started telling the story of Luis, eventually they found a person that new the grandparents of Luis. Leonor found his grandparents, both of them are blind and they live in very poor conditions. The head of their house hold is the twelve year old brother of Luis. In the morning he takes his grandmother to the land where she tries and farm. Leonor talked to her about Luis and that he is doing well. She told Leonor that she would love to see her grandchild once more. Leonor told her but she will not be able to see him and she responded that she just wants to hear his voice once more. Leonor came back and shared with Luis that his grandmother is still alive. Later in the day he came to Rika and with a big smile said, Mama Rika: "I have a grandmother". We plan to take Luis to go and visit his grandparents next week.
