Inner Voice

Few months ago Rika was asked to lead worship at a women's conference here in Matola.She was very excited, because leading worship is something she loves so much. One week before the conference she started feeling that she was not supposed to lead the worship at the conference. The feeling got stronger and she felt that she should not lead the worship. She shared with me that she feels God is telling her not to lead the worship. I told her to phone our friend that arranged and shared that she could not lead the worship. The peace of God came over Rika immediately, although she could not understand why. The Friday during the conference Philip our youngest child fell from the trampoline and broke his arm. Rika had to rush to South Africa with him so that he could get to hospital. Philip had to stay in hospital and Rika had to stay with him.

Hearing God's voice and being obedient to His voice is very important for us, even when we do not understand why Jesus is telling us something. When we do not have peace about a situation, then we should hear from Jesus what He is trying to tell us.
