Desperation

Baby Raquel

Raquel is so small, she must have been born prematurely, the small body in my arms, leaves me with so many questions. She is beautiful and it makes me wonder what would bring her mother to abandon her. The place she choose to abandon her is a local Pentecostal church, maybe she was so desperate and she hoped the church would be a place her new born baby would find love. The church a place of hope, of new beginnings a place of love and compassion. This mother wanted her baby to live, to maybe have a better life than her, a life filled with hope, this is what Jesus came to die for, so that we will love as we love our selves. Raquel was left with her umbilical cord, just after she was born. Holding her we know that Jesus loves her so much and that through her little life she will bless so many. Jesus is the reason for her life, her mother knew that when Jesus is present so is hope in abundance.
