Quiteria and Marcelino

Seven years ago Marcelino and Quiteria came to live with us. Marcelino arrived at our home with his father. His father lived in very poor conditions and he did not have a job to take care of Marcelino. Marcelino was very malnourished and almost devoured the food we gave him like a animal. It seemed to us that he did not have a meal for a few days when he came to us. Marcelino's father died last year. Quiteria was brought to us by her family after her mother died. Her mother died because of the caesarian. She was still a baby, so she and Marcelino grew up together. It is soo amazing for us to see them grow up and the love they have for one another. They love spending time with us and Quiteria is every given opportunity with Rika telling her all the news. They are like our own children and we love them as our own. It is such a rewarding journey to love the ones that are not loved by anyone. There are so many like them that are abandoned and fatherless.
